Delhi Diaries: Unearthing kitchen secrets at Book Fair, 2015

So I might not always talk about this but F 🙂 🙂 D has such a special place in my life! One of my best friends claims that I’d probably sell him off for super-yum food. Haha, now I’m not going to comment on the veracity of that statement- but you can safely agree that it is way past the exaggerating line. 😈 Anyhow, coming back to the food talks- Zomato- the foremost Indian website/App which aids in discovering & getting information about restaurants in over 21 countries worldwide [side-note: Woah- they’re growing fast ]; has released this!

It has 21 challenges- some quite difficult ones at that, but all of them are oh-so-totally fun! 😛  Continue reading “Delhi Diaries: Unearthing kitchen secrets at Book Fair, 2015”

Best Dressed at Oscars 2015!

Well, well..with the Oscars glittering with so much of Elie Saab, and a surprise appearance of our super-duper talented, Indian designer duo- Gauri & Nainika on the Red Carpet; I kind of had to do a post listing my top 5! 😉 What is that you’re saying? Gauri & Nainika at the Oscars? I know, right! People all over the world are sitting up & noticing the talent that this country has to offer, and it feels great. 🙂

Anyhow, let’s not talk much and get straight to the awesomeness! Knowing my eternal love & obsession with the perfectionist- Elie Saab, my absolute favourite HAD TO BE–Emma Stone.

#1. Emma Stone in Elie Saab

This is undoubtedly the best from Oscars 2015. That chartreuse colour looks oh-so-totally pleasing with her bright coral lips and she wears this look extremely well. And don’t miss the intricate detailing on the gown all over. ❤

Happiness 101: Understanding the drill

So what makes you happy? Phoebe from Friends, for instance, would reply with:

“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things”  🙄

So what makes you happy? All of us are constantly working towards the pursuit of our happiness, and precisely how do we do that? We try to do good at school, get through a great college, pursue a hobby, work hard at job, and let’s not forget this- try to find that special someone who’ll always keep us happy. 😐 In all of this brouhaha, it might seem like we’re trying to achieve happiness as a direct result of our actions. And does that ever work out? Let’s put this in context:

Elegance on the Runway: Elie Saab Spring/Summer Haute Couture 2015

So, I’ve waited for Suits to start with the rest of their Season 4 this January, and apart from that show, I do love The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, House of Cards and still, like a million others, consider Friends to be the best-est show ever. However, I was and have been completely obsessed with Gossip Girl, and even more with Blair Waldorf ever since I set eyes on their Pilot episode. Now you may hate the dramatic show all you want, but you have to agree with me on all of that sartorial yumminess served up in each and every one of their episodes. ALL, and literally ALL of their outfits are breathtakingly beautiful!! ❤ How much did those lovely stockings and pretty headbands affect my personal taste is a story for some other time; but I will tell you how I started thinking about Blair & Elie Saab yet again, today. 🙂

Filmfare 2015: Best Dressed

Evidently, Queen took the limelight at the Filmfare 2015, and I have absolutely loved that movie. Now, I’m not going to repeat the typical opinion regarding Queen which talks about woman empowerment, but I will say that this movie showcased how much more Kangana Ranaut has to offer! I think she’s quite talented & nobody else could have done justice to ‘Raani‘s character the way she did. Although, I will admit that my love for her is considerably influenced by her immaculate taste in fashion. 😛

Speaking of which, here are my Top-5 Best Dressed from Filmfare 2015. Have a look. 🙂

#Kriti Sanon

Everything about this Gauri & Nainika gown looks fresh, young & flirty. The fishtail works beautifully on her; and the colour is spot on- since for some reason I have been obsessed with mint lately. Mint nails, Mint skirt, Mint scrunchie….you get it. 😛
